Before all the claims, Kim was actually approached at the Met Gala and asked about Kanye’s whereabouts. “He’s at home,” she explained, “He’s been taking some time off and really loving that.”
She didn’t wear any bling.
She opted out for no jewelry or accessories this year. She wanted to emphasize the simplicity of her look.
Her look for the Met Gala was simple and elegant.
Although she didn’t have Kanye by her side this year, Kim still turned some heads on her own with an understated simple look featuring an off-the-shoulder white Vivienne Westwood dress.
Some were saying the dress was too basic.
Many people on social media insulted Kim’s dress claiming it was basic and that her poor fashion choices were due to Kanye’s absence. Some people can be so harsh.
Twitter bystanders were quick to attack.
One tweet about the reality star said: “I need Kim to go back, let Kanye pick out something, then make a return.”
Kanye was angry about the bikini photos.
Getting back to Kanye, it was reported that he didn’t come to the event because he was still infuriated with the un-airbrushed photos of Kim in a bikini from her recent Mexico trip with sister Kourtney. She was there to celebrate Kourtney’s birthday.
Has she damaged her brand?
“Kanye has helped turned Kim into a fashion icon and he feels those pictures with Kourtney have made her look cheap, damaging her brand,” a friend told The Sun.
Remember last year when Kanye’s antics supposedly sent Kris Jenner into a crisis mode thinking he was tarnishing the Kardashian brand?
He thinks Kourtney lead Kim on to pose for the photos.
“He’s angry with Kourtney for seemingly leading her on, as she clearly revelled in turning their session into a photoshoot.” Supposedly, their behavior detracted from Kim’s current standing in the industry.
It’s a really big deal that he didn’t show up.
The source also emphasized how big of a deal it was for Kanye not to attend the Met Gala as he has a very close relationship with the host Anna Wintour.
He’s supposedly having nightmares.
The couple has been under a lot of stress over the last year. One source said he’s been having nightmares since Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
