Being a famous rapper might seem like the ultimate lifestyle, but in reality, it’s filled with its highs and lows. It definitely doesn’t suck to have more money, cars, and girls than you know what to do with, but you also have to deal with people constantly coming at you and trying to take advantage of your success.
There’s no rapper that embodies this reality more than Drake, who has spent his past few album simultaneously bragging about his achievements and crying about his problems. He might have made it after starting from the bottom, but that doesn’t mean he’s not still running through the 6 with his woes. Unfortunately for Drake, he might have one more problem to cry about.
Drake has had high-profile and complex relationships with Nicki Minaj and Rihanna, and he’s gotten plenty of inspiration for his music in the process. Now, it’s looking like there’s a chance he might have yet another muse in the form of an Instagram model who claiming to be the mother of his unborn child.
The model, who goes by Layla Lace, took to Instagram to kick off the baby momma drama. She posted a conversation that allegedly took place between the two in which Drake apparently offers to take her to London (because apparently Drake can’t find any other women in one of the biggest cities in the world).
She also added another screenshot that would appear to show how thirsty Drake can be before accusing him of not being true to his word. It turns out he might have been in things for a reason other than love. Layla shared the lesson she learned:”never be so naive when a guy disrespect you !!! Like you dont even have to do nothing wrong to this man its really unbelievable how he will just feed you with lies and hurt you for NO reason!”
Layla claimed that she wasn’t in the relationship for the money, saying that she always made sure to provide for herself. She simply took issue with the way Drake treated her after showing her love and affection. She went on to bring up his past as an actor to provide an explanation for how he could be so convincingly fake. That’s right- she threw “Degrassi” right back in his face.
The most damning evidence she had was a picture of a positive pregnancy test, although there’s no way to prove whether or not Drake is the father. Even if he’s not, she’s still not pleased with how he handled their relationship, saying “You and I know i was good to you !!! This is how you treat them dusty thirsty ass bitches that be on ya dick !!!!”
The saga ended when Layla deleted her Instagram account for reasons that aren’t entirely clear? Did Drake pay her to keep quiet? Was there someone out there who was able to prove that she was lying? As of right now, it’s impossible to know, so you can come up with your own conclusions
At the end of the day, only Layla and Drake know the truth. With that being said, if these accusations turn out to be true, Drake will certainly have plenty of material for his next album. After all, there’s arguably no better Drake than Sad Drake.
